Welcome to J Davies Restorations — we’re a small, family-run building business based near Matamata, proudly serving the wider Waikato region.

Jason Davies, a qualified Licensed Building Practitioner, leads the team with over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. After years of building and renovation work, he successfully owned and operated a tiling business, refining his skills in high-end finishes and detailed craftsmanship. Jason’s experience spans multiple trades — including building, plastering, tiling, and cabinetry installation — allowing him to complete many stages of a project himself and ensure everything meets his exacting standards.

Working alongside Jason is Bryan, a qualified tiler who has been part of the team for more than five years. His precision and efficiency on site make him an integral part of every renovation.

Behind the scenes, Louise, Jason’s wife, keeps everything running smoothly through her role in office management and client communication — making sure projects stay organised and clients always feel informed.

Their eldest daughter, Vayda, also works alongside Jason on site when things get busy, bringing an extra pair of capable hands and a strong work ethic to the team.

Together, we’re passionate about creating spaces that are both beautiful and built to last — whether it’s a full home renovation, a bathroom transformation, or restoring the charm of an older villa or bungalow. With a strong focus on quality, honesty, and communication, we take pride in treating every project as if it were our own home.
